Wyoming Department of Education > For District Leadership > Special Education Programs > Procedural Safeguards

The Notice of Procedural Safeguards explains the rights available to a parent or child under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Parents of children with disabilities have certain rights under federal and state law. One of those rights is to be informed, in writing and in their  native language or other mode of communication that they may use, of the procedural safeguards available to them.
