In partnership with Marzano Research, WDE offers an opportunity for educators and leaders to come together in a regional session to explore the pandemic effect on achievement. During these sessions, Marzano Research will build upon the data literacy and 5 Ds process explored in the Day 1 (July 2022) session through application to participant’s own district and school level data. This Day 2 session will guide participants in how to apply the 5Ds process to their own data and support movement toward data-driven decisions that support greater student achievement. This is best done with a team and districts may register multiple teams.

Key concepts in the session will include:
-Understanding the purposes and uses of different types of data.
-Framing questions that data can answer.
-Conducting disciplined analysis that lets the data speak.
-Identifying root cause.
-Using multiple sources of data and evidence to make decisions.
