08-14-2023 Wyoming Digital Access Plan Feedback

The Wyoming Broadband Office (WBO) is developing a Digital Access grant program in advance of funds anticipated from the State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). This multi-year grant program will support education by focusing on improving the affordability, adoption, and use of broadband throughout Wyoming.

To receive NTIA funding, the WBO was required to apply for a Digital Equity Planning Grant and complete a State Digital Equity Plan. The Wyoming Digital Access Plan will guide the state’s digital access efforts and inform the application to NTIA for the State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program. Grant awards will follow the NTIA’s approval and release of funds to states, likely in early to mid 2024.

The WBO is seeking feedback on the Digital Access Plan linked above. It includes a vision for digital equity, goals to activate that vision, current assets and barriers, and an implementation plan. Feedback is required by August 17.
