02-26-2024 Call for Presenters for Native American Education Conference

The Wyoming Department of Education is seeking presenters for the 15th annual Native American Education Conference on August 68 at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. 

The conference instills pride and strengthens the engagement of youth through Native American history and culture. The 2024 theme is Community Wisdom and Engagement: Teaching Resilience to Our Indigenous Youth.

Presentation proposals must be aligned with one or more of the following: 

  • Enhancing the health of Indigenous youth and supporting the emotional needs of students.
  • Unifying schools and communities.
  • Supporting the instructional and learning needs of Native American students, including teaching to the Wyoming education standards.
  • Empowering youth and supporting the social and emotional needs of Native American students.
  • Building relationships between the schools, families, tribes, and communities.
  • Strengthening resilience and perseverance.

Potential presenters must complete a Presentation Proposal Survey by April 1. Conference information will be updated here.
