Joint Legislative Education Committee Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to receive various reports required by law related to education accountability, common college transcripts, computer science, alternative schools, school finance audits, special education, and pupil transportation. The Committee will also receive updates from the University of Wyoming’s College of Education and receive testimony related to virtual education and the Hathaway Scholarship Program. The Committee will also consider draft legislation related to education accountability, teacher accountability, school safety and security, school district cash reserves, the K-12 education resource block grant model’s regional cost adjustment, and the national board certified teacher program.

Individuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee, Committee staff and interested members of the audience. Hard copies should be on three hole paper.

All materials provided to the Committee in written form will be part of the official record of the Committee’s meeting and will be on file at the Legislative Service Office.
