Joint Education Committee Meeting
September 26, 2019 - September 27, 2019
The purpose of this meeting is to receive reports and information related to post-secondary education, the Hathaway Scholarship Program, special education, school district reporting, the K-12 school finance monitoring series reports, compulsory attendance and a general discussion of the Legislature’s responsibility to recalibrate the cost of the state’s educational program. The Committee may also report any recommendation for an external cost adjustment to the education resource block grant model to the Joint Appropriations Committee. The Committee will also consider draft legislation amending provisions related to the Hathaway Scholarship Program, K-12 school finance special education and transportation, and cooperative purchasing.
