12-18-2023 High School Juniors And Seniors Sought For 2024 National Science Youth Camp

Applications are being accepted from high school juniors and seniors in the classes of 2024 and 2025 to represent Wyoming at the 2024 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp). Two students from each state, Washington, D.C., and select countries will attend the all-expenses-paid program, from June 29 through July 20, 2024.

Hosted in Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia since 1963, the NYSCamp is a residential science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) program designed to honor and challenge some of the nation’s rising STEAM leaders, and provide them with opportunities to engage with STEAM professionals and participate in exciting outdoor activities. The camp will be held in person in West Virginia and Washington, DC.

This experience will include world-class lectures, directed studies, and seminars with prestigious and up-and-coming STEAM professionals who are making a difference in their fields of study and changing the world for good. The NYSCamp is offered to selected participants at no cost—including meals, housing, and transportation—so that talented students may attend regardless of their financial ability. Applications to attend the 2024 NYSCamp are due by 11:59 PM EST on February 29, 2024. Delegates are selected through an online state-based competition. Apply here.
