In honor of the twentieth annual Cybersecurity Awareness month, the Wyoming Department of Education will host a K-12 Leaders Cyber Awareness Webinar on Tuesday, October 24, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This informative webinar, conducted by cybersecurity experts, will explore the possible threats to districts and student data, and underlines the vital role that school district leadership plays in promoting cyber awareness. By understanding the importance of cybersecurity, leaders can empower administrators, teachers, support staff, and students to protect sensitive data and ensure a safe learning environment in the ever-evolving cyber landscape.
The webinar will concentrate on K-12 cyber threat statistics, risk and vulnerabilities, prevention training, cyber awareness, incident response, and remediation. An expert panel will discuss the importance of leadership in promoting an awareness culture for the entire district. Presenters will share tools available to Wyoming districts and schools and other resources.
