Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6–10, and the WDE is celebrating why we love teachers! Wyoming teachers are always rising to the challenge and innovating both inside and outside the classroom to best meet the needs of students and families. Although this celebration is only a week, their efforts make an impact each and every day.
Governor Mark Gordon will declare Teacher Appreciation Week with a proclamation to encourage all Wyomingites to celebrate our valued educators. Watch for WY I Love Teaching videos that highlight why teachers love their jobs.
Students, families, and community members can join the WDE and Superintendent Megan Degenfelder in celebrating online by using the hashtag #WYWeLoveTeachers. Educators can use #WYILoveTeaching to share why they are inspired to teach. Add giphy stickers to your posts by searching wyweloveteachers or wyiloveteaching.
