03-25-2024 WDE Announces Wyoming State PAEMST Finalists

The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is the highest recognition that a K12 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM, including Computer Science) teacher can receive in the U.S. Wyoming is honoring three math teachers and three science teachers as the 2024 Wyoming State Finalists for grades K6.

Math state finalists:

  • Amber Johnson, Tongue River Elementary, Ranchester.
  • Elizabeth McKay, Pioneer Park Elementary, Cheyenne.
  • Heather Kolde, Meadowlark Elementary, Cheyenne.

Science state finalists: 

  • Elizabeth David, Pinedale Elementary, Pinedale. 
  • Emily Emond, Woodland Park Elementary, Sheridan. 
  • Shannon Huber, Newcastle Elementary, Newcastle.
