The Wyoming Department of Education has updated the Assessment Blueprint page with the 2028+ WY-ALT Math & Science Assessment Blueprints. The first WY-ALT administration aligned to these updated blueprints will be in the 2027-28 school year.
On July 16, 2025, Governor Gordon approved the Ch.10 Rules on Standards, which included the 2024 Wyoming Extended Standards (WYES) for Science & Math.
The following content areas will be implemented by the start of School Year 2027-28 and will be fully assessed on all WY-ALT Math and Science Summatives starting in spring of 2028, per the aforementioned blueprints:
- 2024 Math Extended Standards will replace the 2018 edition.
- 2024 Science Extended Standards will replace the 2020 edition.
