The Wyoming Department of Education is offering four complimentary Digital Threat Assessment (DTA) sessions and two complimentary Advanced Digital Threat Assessment sessions to all Wyoming school districts, made possible through the Stronger Connections Grant program. These sessions are virtual and limited to 100 participants each. DTA is a prerequisite for attending Advanced DTA. More detailed information can be found on the registration form.
Digital Threat Assessment
Participants learn to establish a Digital Behavioral Baseline through a safety-and-threat-assessment lens. DTA serves as a vital component of modern, comprehensive threat assessment protocols. Webinars are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on October 19, October 23, November 6, and November 13.
Advanced Digital Threat Assessment
These sessions build significantly on the foundational concepts introduced in the prerequisite course. Participants will learn how to extract and curate relevant digital intelligence in real-world safety and threat assessment scenarios. Working collaboratively on case studies based on real events, teams navigate complicated online environments using familiar and advanced investigative techniques.
Instructors will present standard operating procedures as teams complete a practical capstone assignment. Attendees will gain the confidence and expertise needed to independently establish a subject of concern’s Digital Behavioral Baseline and produce a comprehensive threat assessment report. Webinars will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on October 26 and November 23.
