Educators can access the Wyoming Assessment Portal on August 4 for the 2026-27 SY.

New Assessment System & NAVVY Training Opportunities

The WDE is offering multiple training opportunities for stakeholders in August 2026.

  • NAVVY Classroom Assessment Training: Attend in-person training or a virtual webinar
  • District Test Coordinator (DTC) and Technology Coordinator Training: DTCs must register to attend a mandatory in-person training at one of the locations listed below. The WDE strongly recommends that District Technology Coordinators attend the hybrid virtual/in-person training in Cheyenne on August 7. Remote Proctor Coordinators (RPCs) in districts with Virtual Education Programs that plan to administer WY-TOPP remotely are strongly encouraged to attend a training. Additional guidance for RPCs will be shared soon.
    • August 5, 8:30–11:30 am or 1–4 pm in Casper.
    • August 7, 1–4 pm in Cheyenne.
    • August 11, 8:30–11:30 am or 1–4 pm in Riverton.
    • August 14, 8:30–11:30 am or 1–4 pm in Rock Springs.

DTC/BC Statewide Assessment Canvas Course Training

Annual Canvas course updates training for DTCs and Building Coordinators will open August 18. Completing this online Canvas course does not replace the required in-person DTC, Technology Coordinator, or RPC trainings. Registration information for the Canvas course will be released in the Superintendent’s Update on August 10.

ACT and WorkKeys

There will be no platform updates for the 2026-27 school year. The ACT statewide assessment will continue to be offered on PANext. The WorkKeys assessment will continue to use Validus.
