The Wyoming Department of Education will host the SF0059 Knowledge Series webinars to focus on research, reflection, implementation, and moving policy into practice in adolescent literacy. Register now to participate in the webinar series.
This webinar series will function as a direct on-ramp to the topics covered at the L3 Summit: Embracing Leadership, Language, and Literacy.
A live, 90-minute webinar will be held at 4 p.m. each Wednesday from May 6 through June 3. Each webinar will also include resource packs that include associated readings, practice guides, application videos, etc. An in-person session will be held on June 10 during the L3 Summit.
Webinar sessions will consider questions like:
- What makes adolescent literacy distinct from literacy in elementary school?
- What are the critical components of adolescent literacy that leaders and educators in Wyoming should focus on?
- How does a school system successfully support the literacy development of adolescent students in Wyoming?
- What does excellent literacy instruction look like for an adolescent student in Wyoming?
