The WY-TOPP Summative Assessment Window will be open April 15 through May 9. This window includes ELA and Math for grades 3–10, Writing for grades 5, 7, and 9, and Science for grades 4, 8, and 10.

In mid-2024, in response to feedback from various stakeholders, Superintendent Degenfelder removed the writing portion of the Grade 3 ELA assessment. The existing scales and cut scores continue to accurately reflect student proficiency levels with minimal impact from this adjustment.

For general resources for WY-TOPP preparation and administration, visit the WDE Educators Resource WY-TOPP page (log-in required).

Test security is important before, during, and after testing. Ensure that all Wyoming Assessment Security Agreements for K-12 Statewide Assessments are completed. Refer to the Wyoming Assessment Security Guide for more information about necessary assessment security measures.

Text-to-Speech (TTS) is pre-set in TIDE for Math, Science, and Writing, which renders tools like Line Reader inoperable. TTS Tracking provides a workaround by highlighting words as they are read aloud, aiding students with tracking difficulties, reading disabilities, visual impairments, or anxiety across subjects. Headphones are required unless the student is tested individually in a separate setting.
