The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) has released the updated Staff Certification and Misassignment Guide for the 2026-27 school year.
The updates are intended to improve transparency by clarifying the timeline, addressing the most common issues and questions we receive, and making the overall guide more user-friendly for all stakeholders.
In collaboration with the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB), any district officials involved in submitting staff certification data and monitoring staff certification are invited to register to attend an overview meeting on August 5 at 9 a.m. Recent updates to the guide will be reviewed, and Kelly Storebo, WDE Accreditation Consultant; Chelsie Oaks, WDE Accreditation and Support Supervisor; Brendan O’Connor, PTSB Director; and Stephanie Benboe, PTSB Assistant Director, will lead a Q&A session. The overview meeting will be recorded for those unable to attend.
