The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is introducing an innovative initiative to support school districts implementing Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The program will span the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years and will provide differentiated support to move each district’s MTSS framework to where it needs to be. Districts can complete the MTSS Support Interest form by August 3.
This initiative is not a one-size-fits-all professional development program. In partnership with the WDE, expert consultants will work alongside participating districts to collaboratively review and assess current MTSS processes. Based on the results of this inventory, districts will receive tiered assistance ranging from intensive, in-person consultation to high-level advisory guidance. For each tiered pathway, consultants will partner with districts to identify key focus areas, determine the best strategies to address them, and provide targeted support, which may include ongoing coaching, leadership capacity building, and professional development to strengthen instructional practices and align tiers. All participating districts will co-develop a sustainability framework as a final product of this work to ensure long-term success.
Completing the form will assist the WDE in gauging statewide interest. Finalized program details will be provided prior to a request to commit to participation.
