The following updates will provide several WIDA and ACT training opportunities to support educators during the 2026–27 SY.

WIDA ACCESS Updates & Training Opportunities for 2026–27

Register for the WIDA/WDE Updates session on August 24 at 2:30 p.m. The training will cover the WIDA process and WDE policy updates for 2026–27 SY testing.

The WIDA portal rolls over on August 31. Log in to the portal to sign the Non-disclosure User Agreement (NDUA) and register for self-paced training opportunities. New training for the WIDA ALT Screener must be completed before the WIDA ALT Screener may be administered in Wyoming.  ALT Screener training can be completed now as last year’s NDUA is valid through August.

WDE Provided Opportunities

  • Scaffolding Learning Through Language (two in-person sessions): August 26 & 27, from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., in Rawlins. Register here.
  • When Language and Disability Meet: Planning Instruction to Support Multilingual Learners Who Are Dually Identified (two virtual sessions): September 21 & 28, from 3:30–5 p.m. Register here.
  • Engaging Secondary Newcomers in Content-Area Literacy (in-person session): October 14, from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., in Jackson.  Register here.
  • Actionable Practices for Centering Newcomers (two virtual sessions): January 25 & February 1, 2027, from 3:30–5 p.m. Register here.
  • Expanding Reading Instruction with Multilingual Learners (two virtual sessions): April 19 & 26, 2027, from 3:30–5 p.m. Register here.
  • WIDA ACCESS Score Reports for Instruction 2027 (virtual session): May 17, 2027, from 3:30–5 p.m. Register here.

ACT 2026–27 Training Opportunities

Register for the ACT/WDE Updates Session on August 24 at 3:45 p.m. The training will cover the ACT process and WDE policy updates for testing in the 2026–27 SY. 

Fall and Winter ACT: Save the dates for the following trainings. Registration information and locations will be announced at a later date.

  • ACT and Your Data; Anchoring Your Curriculum; ACT Reading; ACT English: October 8–9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • ACT and Your Data; Anchoring Your Curriculum; ACT Math; ACT Science: November 5–6, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
  • ACT Instructional Mastery-Reading (two-day in-person session): January 28–29, 2027, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. in Cheyenne.
