The following updates will support educators as they transition to the new assessment vendor.
Spring 2026 Data
Results from the Spring 2026 WY-TOPP assessments will be available for districts to review in the WDE Confidential Portal in September. View the June 2 Superintendent’s Update for information about the delay in scores.
2026–27 SY Data
The WDE will be convening a committee of educators in the summer of 2027 to place the Wyoming performance levels on the Pearson measurement scale. This process will result in a delay of data for the WY-TOPP Fall, Winter, and Summative assessments until the Fall of 2027. Districts will be able to use that data to conduct annual data reviews with their district-level data.
New Roles & System Updates for the 2026–27 SY
The WDE has updated some assessment role titles for the 2026–27 SY. Review the glossary in the WDE Assessment Security Guide to understand the changes. These roles will be auto-assigned to users based on the data provided through the nightly WDE API update.
Test the System Days
The WDE will require all districts to conduct a system readiness test of the Pearson assessment platform on either September 1 or 2. This mandatory test is designed to verify that districts can successfully access all components of the platform and that personnel have the knowledge to navigate the system across all roles and permission levels. This critical exercise will identify and resolve any technological issues or areas of concern prior to the Fall Interim Assessment window.
To assist districts during these testing days, the WDE Assessment Team and Pearson Technology Support will hold office hours:
- September 1 from 9-–9:30 a.m.
- September 2 from 3–3:30 p.m.
- September 3 from 1–1:30 p.m.
Participants will join via this Zoom link; no registration is required. The Wyoming Help Desk will be available to provide additional dedicated technical support. A step-by-step guide for testing the system will be provided in the assessment portal.
