Join the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5-9. The WDE will be honoring Wyoming’s exceptional teachers with a week-long celebration showcasing their creativity, resilience, and lasting impact in our communities.
Governor Mark Gordon will issue a proclamation recognizing the week. Activities will include daily spotlights of teachers on social media—featuring videos from Superintendent Degenfelder and 2025 Teacher of the Year Morgan Hahn, a message from Senator Cynthia Lummis, and highlights from Superintendent Degenfelder’s Tour of Excellence.

Communities are invited to participate online using the hashtag #WYWeLoveTeachers to celebrate their favorite teachers.
