The Wyoming Department of Education encourages educators to share the 2027 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) opportunity with qualified high school juniors and seniors. Two Wyoming student delegates will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., from March 6–13, 2027, and a $12,500 undergraduate college scholarship.

Applications open on August 31, and interested students can apply here. The application deadline is set for 10 a.m. on October 19.

School staff should recruit eligible juniors and seniors serving in qualifying leadership roles, such as Student Body or Class Officers, Student Council members, NHS Officers, Civic Board Representatives, or Cadet Corps Commanders. Students should be directed to the WDE USSYP page to review full eligibility guidelines and Washington Week materials, access the official brochure, and submit their application. Be prepared to complete the principal verification or school contact form if a student is named a finalist in November.
