Help us build a puzzle map of Wyoming! We are looking for student artists to design a puzzle piece that represents their home county. To get started, download your county’s puzzle piece and get creative! Submit your puzzle piece by May 8 to enter.
Your county puzzle piece needs to encompass artwork that represents your county. If you want to use a mixture of drawing and print or live materials within the boundaries, go for it! Your imagination and perception of what is “current” or what depicts your county is what we want!
Two winners from each county (Gr. K-6 & 7-12) will have their artwork turned into physical puzzle maps to be placed in a time capsule and archived until July 10, 2090, to mark the 200th anniversary of Wyoming statehood. When opened, the contents will be displayed to the public.
Winners will be notified on June 12 and invited to Cheyenne on July 4 to join Governor Gordon for the official time capsule burial ceremony.
