The WDE505 – Student Candidacy for the Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy (WY-SoBL) collection is open from April 6–24. Districts will only include students graduating in the spring. Districts may submit the collection if student test scores become available after the open period. If the student has been awarded the WY-SoBL, it is mandatory to report this on the WDE950 – Graduated Senior Transcripts report that will take place from September 17 to October 31. For eligibility requirements, guidelines, and additional details, visit the WY-SoBL webpage.

Districts must submit an order for seals and cords at least 30 days before graduation or no later than April 28. Orders will be delivered at the Wyoming Curriculum Directors Association Conference on May 5 in Casper. If a student tests but does not meet the proficiency requirements, and an order has already been placed, the district can retain the seal and cord for future use. Take into consideration the number of items that have been retained from previous years when submitting this year.

The WY-SoBL Confidential Student Report allows district WY-SoBL coordinators to track student progress by searching for information about students who have earned the Seal of Biliteracy within the district. This information is available in the WDE Confidential Portal.
