The Wyoming Department of Education encourages educators to share information about the National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) with high school juniors and seniors, for a chance to represent Wyoming at the 2026 NYSCamp from July 11 through August 1. Applications are due March 30.

Hosted in Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia since 1963, the NYSCamp is a residential science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) program designed to honor and challenge some of the nation’s rising STEAM leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with STEAM professionals and participate in exciting outdoor activities. Selected delegates must commit to attending the entire three-week camp.

The camp includes world-class lectures, directed studies, and seminars with prestigious and up-and-coming STEAM professionals. The NYSCamp is offered to selected participants at no cost—including meals, housing, and transportation—so that talented students may attend regardless of their financial ability.
