Wyoming Statute 21-3-136 authorizes the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) to reimburse school districts for expenses related to the possession of firearms on school property.
Funds will be available for FY2027. Reimbursement amounts will be determined based on the number of districts claiming reimbursement and the amounts requested by each. Claims can be submitted from June 1 to June 30. See the WDE Forms Inventory webpage for more.
With the exception of training expenses, reimbursable costs must be incurred pursuant to rules promulgated in accordance with Wyoming statute, specifically, Title 16, Chapter 3. A copy of the promulgated rules, along with receipts, invoices, training certificates, and any other documentation necessary to substantiate expenditures, must be submitted through the WDE 905 data collection.
