Superintendent Megan Degenfelder will embark on her third Tour of Excellence. This spring, she will honor schools that are leaders in Patriotic Efforts and Technical Education (CTE). Click here to nominate a school by February 18 for a chance to be featured as a stop on the tour. Schools that are selected will be notified in the first week of March.

The tour will focus on two key categories:

  • Patriotic Schools: Highlighting civic and historical knowledge in action, respect for national symbols, veteran connections, and a commitment to excellence in patriotic education.
  • CTE Excellence: Highlighting community partnerships, applied leadership in technical spaces, service through skilled trades, and mentorship that prepares students to be both skilled professionals and engaged citizens.

To keep the process streamlined, ensure the submission includes:

  • Category Selection: Clearly state if you are nominating for Patriotic Schools, CTE, or both.
  • Actionable Steps: A short description of the program and its impact on students.
  • Concrete Examples: Include evidence that tells your story. (e.g., photos of student projects, event programs, program syllabi, or links to digital portfolios/social media).
