Acellus Grade 7 Math Common Core after a thorough review of basic operations, demonstrates how to solve real-world problems by applying basic concepts of Algebra and Geometry and by using proportional relationships. Students are also shown how to use statistical data to make inferences and how to use and evaluate probability models.

The Kindergarten Language Arts/Reading course focuses on laying a solid foundation for beginning English language literacy. The course offers students the opportunity to master a range of basic language skills and applications that prepare them for further language concepts in ensuing grades.

Grade 6 Social Studies course focuses on World History and Geography from pre-civilization through the rise of the Roman Empire. Students receive understanding of interactions among various cultures, emphasizing the lasting contributions of each and the link, despite time, between the contemporary and ancient worlds.

In Acellus Life Science, students study living organisms, including plants, animals, and human beings. Beginning with a review of the basics of science, such as the scientific method, the instructor goes on to explore life itself, beginning with cellular organization and discussing the organization of living things. Particular emphasis is placed on human biology.

Grade 6 Science is an integrated course covering Astronomy, Forces and Motion and Earth Structure. The course includes lab videos where students observe experiments that demonstrate the concepts they are learning. Course topics include; Objects in Space, Forces and Movement in Space, Force and Motion, Newton’s Laws and Energy, Electricity and Magnetism, Earth Systems, Rocks and Minerals, Plate Boundaries and Movement, and Earthquakes and Volcanoes.

Life Science studies living organisms including archaea bacteria, monera, protists, fungi, plants, and animals. A particular emphasis is placed on human biology. Students learn how organisms are classified based on specific characteristics and levels of organization. The inside of various cell types is studied. Plant and animal adaptations are explored. On-camera dissection labs help students see the actual parts of an earthworm, starfish, and frog.

In Grade 6 Language Arts/Reading, students will discover the basic elements of literature in a variety of literary and informational texts. Students will look for key ideas and reinforcing details in literature and learn how to effectively communicate ideas in their own work. The course provides review and practice of the conventions of standard English in grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.

The Grade 5 Math course focuses on the introduction of algebraic and geometric concepts. After fifth grade, students have a strong mathematical foundation that sets them up for success in future math courses.
