To support states’ and districts’ efforts to equip and deploy literacy coaches, ExcelinEd partnered with The Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) to develop the Fundamentals of Literacy Coaching professional learning resource. This free resource is intended for state and district leaders responsible for building the capacity of a cadre of literacy coaches. The modules are informed by reading research and adult learning theory and integrate opportunities for collaboration and dialogue among colleagues. The Fundamentals of Literacy Coaching resource provides the components literacy coaches need to become successful literacy leaders and improve reading instruction and student achievement.

The Fundamentals of Literacy Coaching modules are designed to build the essential knowledge and skills literacy coaches need to serve as instructional leaders and strengthen evidence-based reading instruction. The resource integrates structured opportunities for collaboration and dialogue and provides practical components to support the development of successful literacy coaching practices that improve student reading outcomes across Wyoming.
