The Wyoming Department of Education and the Wyoming National Guard invite Wyoming educators to participate in the fifth annual Educator Leadership Rendezvous (ELR). This is not your standard professional development. The ELR is an immersive, high-intensity leadership experience designed specifically for Wyoming’s educational leaders. Over three days, participants will bridge the gap between civilian and military leadership, gaining an understanding of the career and educational opportunities available to our students through the National Guard.

The ELR is limited to 10–15 individuals per district on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to registrants who have not previously attended. Participants will be responsible for travel to and from the event, while lodging and meals will be provided.

  • Tactical Transport: Perform aerial maneuvers in a Black Hawk helicopter or C-130 transport aircraft.
  • Precision & Skill: Rappel down a 55-foot rock face and participate in paintball exercises and advanced simulator training.
  • Strategic Networking: Collaborate and network with fellow administrators and educators from every corner of the state.
  • Earn Credit: Participants will receive one (1) PTSB credit.
  • Building a Team: Principals are highly encouraged to attend alongside a team from their building to strengthen school culture and collective efficacy.
  • Professional Growth: Experience leadership through the lens of those who serve, providing fresh perspectives on discipline, resilience, and student pathways.
