The Wyoming Department of Education encourages educators to support youth in their schools in registering for and completing the requirements of the Wyoming Congressional Award. This individualized, self-paced, goal-driven program provides young adults with the framework they need to become well-rounded, healthy, civically engaged citizens.

The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all youth regardless of ability, circumstance, or socioeconomic status. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Learn more about the award by clicking here.

Adult volunteers, such educators, are paramount to the success of The Congressional Award. If you are interested in volunteering to help students complete the requirements for the awards you can serve as an Advisor or Validator. Click here, to learn more about these roles.
