Mission

The WCSAB authorizes and holds accountable public charter schools to deliver innovative educational practices preparing each student to become a productive member of society.

Application Process

The application will be open from March 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026.

The Charter School Application Guidance document mirrors the Application and offers expanded context, explanations, and considerations to help applicants develop a strong and complete official submission. It is best to start your application by preparing the PDF documents as outlined in the Charter School Application Components section of this document. When the application components are completed, you can adhere to the following instructions to submit your application.

Pursuant to Wyoming Statutes W.S. 21‑3‑301 through 21‑3‑314, charter school applicants may apply to one of two authorizers. These statutes govern the approval, renewal, oversight, and operation of charter schools in Wyoming.

Applicants may submit to:

  • The local school district board.
  • The Wyoming Charter School Authorizing Board.
