The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) invites students with visual impairments and their families, primary caregivers, friends, teachers, school administrators, or service providers to the Wyoming Rendezvous on February 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Casper Mountain Trail Center, located at 9301 Casper Mountain Road. The event will provide participants with the opportunity to increase their knowledge and access to resources while building a sense of community. Complete the registration form by February 6, 2026.
Students can participate in cross-country skiing with family members or school staff who accompany them, while consultants from WDE Vision Outreach Services and other state agencies will be available to advise parents and school staff on the resources available to support children with vision loss.
The WDE will provide lunch, ski rentals, sleds, and boots free of charge for all participants.
