The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is seeking applications from business managers and other district or school administrators interested in serving on the School Finance Data Advisory Committee (SFDAC), which is established under W.S. 21-2-203(d). Members are appointed by and serve at the discretion of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Committee Responsibilities
- Recommend modifications to department rules, policies, practices, and procedures to improve the accuracy of data and to improve the efficiency of the data collection process and the administration of the school finance system generally.
- Recommend rules or other means to ensure districts comply with data reporting and other requirements necessary for the administration of the school finance system.
- Serve as an ongoing forum for communication between the WDE and school districts regarding the administration of the school finance system.
Members have the opportunity to provide recommendations to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and assist the WDE with rules, policies, and procedures, school district training, data collection, and other school finance activities.
