The Wyoming Department of Education encourages educators, youth, and the public to register for the 16th annual Native American Education Conference at Central Wyoming College in Riverton from August 12–13. Register now to attend this inspiring free event

The conference theme is Walking Together: Forging a Collective Path through Indigenous Knowledge. Participants can receive 0.5 PTSB credit for attending the full conference. 

Keynote speaker:

  • Rose Ann Abrahamson, Lemhi Shoshone, great-great-great niece of Sacajawea. With 30+ years of dedicated work in Indigenous education, Rose Ann bridges ancestral wisdom with contemporary pedagogy. Her presentations equip educators with actionable strategies to foster academic success.

Workshops on the following topics will be available:

  • Understanding Native American history and culture.
  • Classroom techniques for enhancing Native student achievement.
  • Inspiring youth leadership and empowerment.
