Statewide Programs

The following school districts have been approved to provide virtual education programming to students statewide. Students can participate in statewide virtual education programs by enrolling in the district where the program is located, or through an agreement between their resident district and the program district when the two districts allow for those arrangements. Students in statewide virtual education programs are enrolled in brick and mortar schools within the district providing the program or their neighborhood school when there is an agreement between the resident and program districts.

Wyoming Connections Academy

Wyoming Connections Academy is a K-12 online program of Big Horn County School District #1 that provides students with access to online courses taught by Wyoming certified teachers and allows students the opportunity to complete their education in an environment that is best suited to their learning needs.

Spur Virtual Academy

Spur Virtual Academy, a program of Fremont County School District #25, offers their program statewide to students in grades K-8 giving them the option of completing their coursework in a virtual learning environment.

Virtual Prep Academy of Wyoming

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Wyoming (VPA of Wyoming), a program of Lincoln County School District #1, is a fully online program with individualized, college and career-focused education in an interactive learning environment. This statewide program features an innovative and interactive curriculum, fully aligned to the Wyoming Content Standards and taught by talented Wyoming state-certified teachers. VPA of Wyoming is dedicated to academic excellence that empowers and prepares students for a world of opportunity.

Wyoming Virtual Academy

Wyoming Virtual Academy is a statewide program hosted by Niobrara County School District No.1 serving Grades K-12. The overall program and over 300 courses are supported by Stride K12 learning systems which are all aligned with Wyoming state standards and all Wyoming rules and policies governing public education. Courses are delivered primarily online (with some shipped paper material or kits) with guided instruction in Live and Recorded class sessions by district-employed, state-certified teachers. The course of learning leads to high school graduation through Niobrara High School, with students having the option to complete basic diploma requirements, Hathaway scholarship requirements, university or college entrance requirements, CTE Pathways, or a combination of these. Special Education services are provided per student needs. All students participate in state-required testing.

Cowboy State Virtual Academy

The Cowboy State Virtual Academy at Sheridan County School District #1 offers an online distance learning program for students studying at home. CSVA uses the personalized learning curriculum from SchoolsPLP. Students may enroll full-time or part-time in grades K-12 and complete their studies online, at their own pace, with support from Wyoming certified teaching staff.

Braintree Academy

The BrainTree Academy– Wyoming virtual education program provides full-time personalized core and elective courses to students in grades K-8 located anywhere in the state.

The following school districts are approved Virtual 307 members who provide virtual education programming to students within their district only. Students in district-level virtual education programs are enrolled in the neighborhood brick and mortar schools that they would attend in person.

Albany One Virtual Learning

Albany County School District utilizes Virtual Education Programming as an alternative option that provides flexibility in programming structures for students who are unable to attend courses in a traditional brick-and-mortar structure. The Virtual Education program is used as an alternative pathway for students in Albany County School District #1.

Campbell County Virtual School

Campbell County Virtual School, a program of Campbell County School District #1, offers a K-6th Grade online program that provides students with access to online courses taught by certified teachers. CCVS allows students the opportunity to complete their education in an environment that is best suited to their learning needs, personalized program of engaging courses, highly qualified teaching staff, and a vibrant school community.

Carbon County Virtual

Carbon County Virtual provides opportunities for successful learning experiences to students in grades 9-12 who live within the boundaries of Carbon County School District #2. Course offerings include 19 courses (4 math, 4 English, 3 Science, 4 Social Studies, 1 Health, 1 Computer Science and 2 Foreign Language) for high school students to take in a setting that will allow them to be successful in their educational pursuits. Each of the 19 courses will be monitored by a Carbon County School District #2 teacher who will work with enrolled students to ensure optimal success.

Herder Virtual Academy

The Herder Virtual Academy at Converse County School District #2 in Glenrock, WY offers a virtual education program for students studying at home. The program is a joint collaboration between the District, SchoolsPLP, and Acellus Academy. Students may enroll full or part-time in grades K-12 and complete their studies online, at their own pace, with support from certified teaching staff.

GCSD 1 Virtual Education

The purpose of the Goshen County School District virtual program is to offer virtual courses to in-district students. This is primarily done using Edmentum Courseware and EdOptions Academy for courses and content selection with some specific courses in certain content areas being offered on Canvas.

Star Valley Virtual 

Star Valley Virtual offers a flexible and personalized online learning opportunity for students in Lincoln County School District #2. The program’s primary purpose is to support student success by providing alternative pathways to graduation through high-quality, standards-aligned instruction. Courses are developed and taught by LCSD#2 teachers and are delivered primarily through the Canvas learning management system, with additional course options available through BYU Online High School. Star Valley Virtual allows students to customize their educational experience to meet individual goals.

Natrona Virtual Learning

The Natrona County Virtual Learning Program provides a full-time online education option for students in grades 9–12. Designed to mirror the structure and expectations of traditional in-person instruction, the program ensures consistent academic rigor, curriculum standards, and behavioral expectations. Instruction is delivered through a combination of synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) lessons led by certified virtual education teachers. Students are required to participate in all state and district assessments. Course offerings include core subjects along with limited elective options. The program also provides necessary technology, technical support, and access to extracurricular activities through the student’s designated base school.

Platte #1

Platte #1 Virtual education program is offered part-time to students in grades 6-12 within the district using a purchased curriculum from Edgenuity or Schools PLP curriculum or courses developed (based on current brick and mortar courses) and taught by district teachers.

Guernsey-Sunrise

Sheridan Academy

Sheridan County School District #2 is creating blended learning courses and utilizing Edmentum Academy virtual courses to provide students enrolled at Sheridan High School (SHS) the opportunity to earn course credit in a schedule format that blends online and in-person classes, providing students a more flexible pathway – including full-time virtual – toward high school graduation.

SWCSD #1, 7-12 grade virtual program, strives to provide tuition-free public school through an asynchronous online learning platform. The Wyoming-grown program reflects Wyoming lifestyles and preferences while providing a high-quality educational experience. Course delivery happens through Canvas in either a hybrid or complete virtual setting.

SWCSD#2 Virtual Academy

Sweetwater County School District #2 Virtual Academy offers a comprehensive and flexible learning opportunity to students who may benefit from an alternative virtual platform. SWCSD#2 partners with EdOptions Academy (Edmentum), a fully accredited 9-12 online program that provides human-centered instruction, combined with best-in-class learning technology and Wyoming certified teachers, to grant every student a front-row seat to learning. Through virtual courses offered in the Green River High School Student Success Center, we are able to tailor and customize individual student’s educational goals as they seek to earn their high school diploma.

UCSD#4 Virtual Education Program

The UCSD#4 Virtual Education Program is designed to assist our high school-aged students who are at risk to not graduate to graduate on time with their peers. Our priority as a district is to provide appropriate safety nets for students who may transfer into our district behind on credits or who may have fallen behind their peers on the required number of credits to graduate on time.

Students can participate by enrolling in the district where the program is located. Students in regional virtual education programs are enrolled in brick and mortar schools within the district providing the program.

Spur Virtual Academy

Spur Virtual Academy, a program of Fremont County School District #25, allows students within the district in grades K-12 and any students located in Fremont County in grades 9-12 the option of completing their coursework in a virtual learning environment.

Park #1 Virtual Academy

Park #1 Virtual Academy is partnering with Acellus and Imagine Edgenuity to deliver virtual programming. Acellus is an interactive learning accelerator. It combines technology and learning science to help students master content, learning more effectively (greater mastery), and efficiently (in less time). Edgenuity’s curriculum is grounded in research and based on the rigor and high expectations of current state standards with a robust suite of core and elective courses. Park #1 Virtual Academy is being offered to students interested in being full-time virtual students in grades K-12. This program is available to students who reside in Park, Big Horn, Hot Springs, and Washakie counties.
