The Native American Education Conference is aimed at assisting teachers of tribal youth, but it is open to all as many sessions address issues beyond the classroom. It is not just for teachers or tribal members. We welcome anyone interested in learning more about our Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone friends, and in learning best classroom practices and other activities that will help all students.

Cost: FREE for everyone!

Location: Central Wyoming College in Riverton.

Time: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Credit: 0.5 PTSB credit available.

Workshops and presentations include:
  • Understanding Native American history and culture
  • Classroom techniques and lesson plans to enhance student achievement
  • Addressing students’ well-being
  • Inspiring youth leadership and empowerment

The conference also recognizes and honors the top Native American youth across the state with the annual Pacesetter Award.
