Established in 1984, the Douvas Memorial Scholarship is the result of a bequest by Mr. Peter G. Douvas, a Greek immigrant who settled in Wyoming. His estate established this fund to support first-generation American youth in Wyoming as they pursue degrees at in-state institutions. Under Statutory Authority W.S. 21-2-603, the Wyoming Department of Education administers this annual $500 award to one student each fall.
The Wyoming Department of Education invites eligible students to apply for this $500 award, which recognizes first-generation American status and demonstrated financial need.
