AP U.S. HISTORY SEM 2
This Advanced Placement United States History course covers major themes in US History from the New World to present day. Throughout the course the students will examine the social political and economic issues of the United States. The students will show how these issues have impacted the United States throughout history. The first semester concentrates on the New World beginnings to the Civil War. The second semester concentrates on Reconstruction to the present day. The AP United States History course is offered to qualified students and is equivalent to an introductory college course in United States History. This course follows the rigorous curriculum of the AP College Board. In May students will be required to take the College Board Advanced Placement Exam in US History. This exam tests skills and knowledge gained from this introductory survey in United States History. This course may not be repeated for credit. Students will be required to show proficiency through four District Assessment Projects.
