Pursuant to § W.S. 21-2-802, any teacher with a current endorsement in Middle School Math 5-8 can now teach Algebra 1 to 8th graders, and those students can earn Hathaway-approved math high school credit. This information has been updated in the Staff Certification Misassignment Guidebook and will not have any effect on school districts’ completion of the WDE602. The assignment code remains MAT, and the endorsement code would be either MID or MMA.
