The Wyoming Department of Education seeks presenters for the 16th annual Native American Education Conference. Submit your proposal by June 1 to be considered. The conference will be held on August 14 at Central Wyoming College in Riverton and aims to instill pride and strengthen the engagement of Native youth. It will be free for all to attend. 

Presentation proposals must be aligned with one or more of the following:

  • Supporting instructional and learning needs of Native American students, including teaching to the Wyoming education standards.
  • Empowering youth and supporting the physical, social, and emotional needs of Native American students.
  • Building relationships between the schools, families, tribes, and communities.
  • Strengthening resilience and perseverance.
  • Improving understanding of Wyoming’s tribal nations – their histories, culture, and contemporary contributions.
