The WY-TOPP Summative Assessment Window will be open April 14–May 8. This window includes ELA and Math for grades 3–10, Writing for grades 5, 7, and 9, and Science for grades 4, 8, and 10.

Math and Science Scores:

  • To ensure the accuracy of student results under Wyoming’s updated, reduced Math and Science standards, the WDE is performing a data validation and standard-setting process for these assessed content areas. Official Math and Science scores for spring 2026 are expected to be available in August 2026.
  • Individual student reports for Math and Science scores will no longer include domain-level reporting due to the updated, reduced standards.

Score Communication Best Practices:

  • When discussing results, educators are encouraged to provide a holistic view of student achievement, framing test scores as one component of growth alongside classroom performance, local assessments, and project-based work.
  • When addressing the 2026 score delays with families, clarify that the validation and standard-setting period is essential to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the updated standards.
