Work Experience 1A
This course offers credit for a work-based learning experience (employment, internship, apprenticeship, etc.) of 60+ hours. Goals and career tasks are set by the student, teacher, and/or employer, though payment isn’t required. Weekly check-ins include field study or discussions about workplace experiences. At course end, students submit a portfolio with an interest survey, career goals, cover letter, resume, and letter of recommendation from an employer or credible source. Proof of hours is submitted monthly via verifiable methods. This course may be repeated for credit.
