Virtual Science 8

Eighth grade Physical Science is an introduction to physics and chemistry. The course encourages students to use critical thinking skills to solve problems, conduct scientific investigations, gather and analyze data, and clearly and accurately communicate results of the investigations. The course is designed to introduce the structure and properties of matter, explain how matter changes chemically and physically, describe how momentum, matter and energy are conserved, understand the effects of force on motion, explore how thermal energy affects particle motion, and understand how waves behave. Scientific method, measurements and laboratory safety will be addressed throughout the course.
