STD. PHYSICAL SCIENCE (V)
This class will address the basic concepts of physical science. The student will utilize a variety of techniques, including investigations and inquiry, as well as class discussions on the concepts. The course will address laws of motion, definitions of work, power and energy, law of conservation of mass/energy, physical and chemical changes, atomic theory, ionic and covalent bonds, basic chemical reactions, geochemical processes and cosmology. Historical overviews will be provided, where appropriate. Students will also be required to complete an independent lab- based project.
