Practical Math A
In this course, students apply math to solve real-world problems, reinforcing key concepts. Key themes include data analysis, math modeling, and personal finance. Topics cover statistics, probability, graphing data, regression, finance, and budgeting. Students also use algebra and geometry models to solve problems. Proficiency is assessed through frequent online and offline tests and class participation. Project-based units allow students to apply and extend skills in practical situations. Prerequisite: Completion of Algebra 1 and Geometry.
