Off-Site Work Experience*
This course provides students with supervised, real-world work experience in a community-based setting. Students apply academic knowledge and career skills in a professional environment while developing workplace competencies such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and time management. Work experience placements are tailored to student interests and career goals and may be paid or unpaid. Students maintain regular contact with a supervising teacher or coordinator, complete required documentation, and reflect on their learning through journals or progress reports. Participation requires adherence to workplace policies, consistent attendance, and fulfillment of agreed-upon responsibilities. Credit is awarded based on documented work hours, supervisor evaluations, and completion of course requirements.
