Math Gr 1 A

Grade 1 Math (A) includes a problem-based curriculum, students will build on their math skills through exploration with interactives and virtual manipulatives.Students will deepen their understanding of addition and subtraction within 10 and extend what they know about organizing objects into categories and representing the quantities. They will solve new types of story problems within 10 using the relationship between addition and subtraction. They develop an understanding of the meaning of the equal sign and connect story problems to equations as they begin– to learn to add and subtract within 20. Students apply the properties of operations and the relationship between addition and subtraction.
