A discussion of mental health, mental illness, and suicide prevention follows. Students then explore the short-and long-term effects of violence on health and look at ways to prevent or reduce violence. The semester concludes with an overview of end-of-life care, death and dying, and the grieving process. A minimum grade level of 9th grade is suggested.
