French I A

The goal of this course is to give the student basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through interesting and engaging activities. This course is organized into five topics including greetings, calendar, weather, time, and colors. The student will learn to talk about himself and OT people, describe his surroundings, and use numbers for dates and times. The student will be introduced to regular verbs in the present tense and will practice simple grammatical structures in innovative and interesting ways with a variety of learning styles in mind. Culture is presented throughout the course to help the student understand the context of the language and the perspectives of the French-speaking world.
