Exploring World Languages 5

World Language Studies (grade 5) course focuses on language skills in a language that is not specified in other language courses. Activities in these elementary courses include learning about the culture of the people who speak the chosen language, communicating in spontaneous spoken or written conversations using practiced or memorized words, phrases, simple sentences, and questions; recognizing the general topic of practiced or memorized words, phrases, and simple sentences in texts that are spoken or written; and presenting information using a variety of practiced or memorized words, phrases, and simple sentences through spoken or written language.
